Dale Jr. well underway for great season

This past Saturday night in Daytona Dale Jr. showed the world a side of him that few have seen. Happy, estatic, and very proud of the win at The 30th Budwieser Shootout. I was listening to his crew chatter on Nascar Trackpass and man oh man what a positive attitude on the radio. Owner Rick Hendrick said;" Dale, this is the moment we have been waiting for, go and have fun!" and fun he had. Dominating the race leading 47 of the 70 laps and cheerfully estatic on the radio after the checkers;" Man what a race car, you guys may have the 500 (Daytona 500) winner here and not know it!!!"

Hopefully he can pull it off on Sunday and win his second Daytona 500 on the 10th anniversary of his fathers historic win in 1998.

Only time will tell.

80 Days till Daytona, my wife hates me right now!!

Well the season is over. Hendrick seemed to dominate everything this season, they won over half of the races this year. Jimmie Johnson cleaned house 4 wins in the chase....holy crap.

Daytona can't come fast enough for me, but my wife has other ideas. Sundays were my day to stretch out on the couch, hog the TV, radio(Sirius rocks) and the computer (Trackpass). Now that's all over and mu house has become somewhat normal again on Sundays. Meanwhile I keep reminding my wife that the peace and quiet and lack of Nascar in the house these days will come to a sudden and abrupt end in February.

Anyway that's it for a while but keep on checking out this Blog, you never know what the frig I might say next.

Till February everyone.

Oh how things change....narrow margin, flip flop.

Watching the Craftsman Truck race last night, I am thinking that Mike Skinner has it all wrapped up.....Speed Channel showing the points as they are running and Horniday is behind....then Skinner has trouble....lots of trouble....

Just shows that when ya think its all over it can come back and bite ya right in the behind.....listening to Sirius Nascar Radio all week and everybody thinks( except David Poole)that Johnson has it all wrapped up. Well, after last nights race I have come to the realization that he ain't got the trophy just yet. Al Gordon can do is go for it and hope that some of Skinners bad luck bites Johnson and takes him out. We will have to wait and see.

Oh and by the way....Dale Jr....you only have one more race with DEI or DNF what ever you want to can it....so hopefully you can make the most of it and bring it home with the #1 position....if your engine holds up that is!!!!

Everybody Hurts

SO I am watching the race on TV this weekend and thinking to myself "Dale can win this thing...yeah he can.." and then Whammo!!!!!! of to the races he goes and pounds the wall all by himself! I feel that he is gettin frustrated and anxious at the same time. He can't wait to get out of the DEI equipment and into the Hendrick stuff.

It has been a long ride for Dale this year and its startin to show....but the hurtin is almost over.....1 more race and freedom. Like the inmate that's waitin on the verdict from the parole review...he has very little time left and freedom is knockin on the door.

How about Jimmie Johnson!! 4 in a row....just like watching the Montreal Canadiens in the late 80's early 90's. you just know they are gonna kick the crap out of the home team......its Jimmies championship to loose now....all Jeff Gordan can do is throw the hail Mary and hope he gets the touchdown.....

Can't wait till this weekend...maybe Dale Jr. can pull off the upset and end his Carreer at DEI in style, but the way the Hendrick boys are running I won't hold my breath.

DEI? DNF? OMG!

Can you imagine what Dale Sr. would be thinking right now, his dynasty DEI has a car in the chase and the other 2 outside( Dale Jr.) being one of them. But yet again the DEI DNF monster has arose and shaken it ugly head....Martin Truex Jr. a great driver has had nothing but bad luck in this chase.....crashes, engine trouble( No big surprise here) and Dale Jr. thinks he can haul it around @190mph on 3 wheels.....man of man....what a frigging joke. DEI is better than this....they have the people, and talent...just not the luck........well Dale Sr. rest in peace my friend.....and may your dynasty stay intack and be very successful in the future.

Somebody Shoot me!!!!! Shut up People!

Well where do I start. I listen to Sirius Nascar radio (channel 128) everyday. Some of these people are just so negative about everything Nascar, IE: TV coverage, Top 35 rule, Car Of Tomorrow, restarts, Foreign Drivers, etc. I think people should just take a chill pill and stop analyzing everything they see and hear and just enjoy the sport.

People feel that their views on the sport should be listened to by Nascar and immediate changes should be made. Sure lets have a dirt track race, lets build $200,000.00 cars and run em around on the dirt and beat the livin crap out of em. Why not just build a figure 8 track in the infield of Daytona and that can be the qualifier for the Daytona 500.

Maybe we should have heat races and have a bunch of torn up cars running around in the feature event. That would be awesome, talk about cautions in Memphis this last weekend. Sheet metal a flyin everywhere!

I agree with most that the Top 35 rule sucks, but when Nascar decides to change it we will be the first to know. As fans we feel our opinion counts, but let me assure you Nascar has the final say and they will do what they feel is best for the sport.
